Golden Long Raisin

Golden Long Raisin also is known as Golden Raisin Jumbo or Kashmari Golden Raisin.   As it is clear from its name the color of this raisin is golden. Raisins, in general, are dried grapes. They are seedless grapes. Farmers start processing the golden long raisin with double washing it. Then we dry it under shade. Then coat them with vegetable oil so it doesn’t lose its moisture too quickly. Also, so the berries don’t stick to each other. Besides, the oil gives berries a moderate shine. The next step is to remove the stems and clean them. The final step is laser sorting them. The moisture level of Jumbo Green Raisin is under 15%.

The Standard Level of SO2 (Sulfur dioxide) for Green Long Raisin is up to 3000 ppm.

This raisin berry size is generally between 240 to 320 pieces per 100 gr. So, compared to Sultana Raisins they are noticeably bigger and have longer shapes.

Because of the high sugar level of raisins, they taste quite sweet.
